passion project

how do you plan a project effectively?

This is a Connect module - which means we'll be focusing on developing a targeted skill. Our skill focus this week is writing an organized, polish report, which we will do by dreaming up passion projects!

Module summary:
  • be exposed: discuss report writing components, take field trip
  • practice: develop passion project idea
  • create: write up proposal for project in report form
  • reflect: review report and revise as needed

essential questions

  1. How do we adapt our communication skills to fulfill an intended purpose?
  2. How does the revision process strengthen our writing?

goals

  1. Students will understand that we adapt our communication based on purpose or context through our word choice, voice, and sentence and paragraph structure.
